How it all began...
Hi, I’m Gretchen Roberts President of Hot Tropix.
My husband Art and I met in 1983. We both said, “I do” when we married just a few years later, and like most married couples we haven’t agreed on a single thing since… except when it came to tanning oils.
We have always loved to swim, surf, and play in the sun. We tried many sun tanning products that were frustratingly messy and left awful brown stains on our towels, swim wear, and clothes. We also learned that the light mineral oil used as the base ingredient in most tanning products are also used as machine lubricant!
So we decided to do some research and came up with a natural dark tanning formula
that we felt safe using for ourselves...
... Hence, the evolution of our prescious formula which not only nourishes and moisturizes skin, it leaves a dark lasting tan... and smells divine!
We loved it so much, and our friends did too
(especially the fresh tropical scent) that we decided to launch Hot Tropix and offer our tanning oil for everyone to enjoy!
And something more to note: our tanning oil doesn’t leave nasty stains on your clothing and swimwear. If Hot Tropix tanning oil gets on clothing or beachwear, it washes right out with normal detergent.
So there you have it folks. A natural dark tanning oil that nourishes your skin and won’t stain your clothes and yes - an oil made for human skin instead of a machine.
